A note on compensation
The ranges below are U.S.-market reference bands. For our worldwide-remote roles, actual offers are adjusted to your local market and cost of living, so your number may differ from the headline figure. Every role also includes equity, and salary is only one part of the total package (see Perks & Benefits above). We're a lean team and hire deliberately — when a full-time role isn't the right fit today, we're often open to a smaller, paid trial project as a starting point.
Contract Research (Part-Time)
Research emerging threats, develop new phishing templates, discover attack techniques, and strengthen the threat intelligence behind HailBytes SAT, ASM, and bounty-agents. Ideal for bug bounty hunters, red teamers, and security researchers who want flexible work. Many engagements start as a small, scoped paid trial project — a low-pressure way for us to work together before discussing a larger role.
Location: Remote (Worldwide)
Compensation: $60 - $100/hour + bounties
Senior Security Engineer
Build and maintain HailBytes SAT and HailBytes ASM. Design security features, implement threat detection, and work on cloud-native architectures. Ideal candidate has 5+ years in security engineering, experience with Go/Python, and passion for offensive security.
Location: Remote (US, EU, APAC)
Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 + equity
Customer Success Engineer
Help enterprise customers succeed with HailBytes products. Provide technical support, conduct training sessions, and advocate for customer needs. Security background required, excellent communication skills essential.
Location: Remote (US/EU time zones preferred)
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 + equity
Full-Stack Engineer
Build beautiful, responsive UIs and robust APIs. Work on Django backends, React frontends, and real-time features with WebSockets. Strong JavaScript and Python skills required, security knowledge a plus.
Location: Remote (Worldwide)
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 + equity
QA Automation Engineer
Build and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks for HailBytes SAT and HailBytes ASM. Design test strategies, implement CI/CD testing pipelines, and ensure product quality across AWS and Azure deployments. Experience with Selenium, Pytest, and security testing preferred. Background in security testing or penetration testing a strong plus.
Location: Remote (Worldwide)
Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000 + equity
